About Me!

Oh heyyy, you’ve found my Website! I'm Charlotte Pontarelli and I'm a New York City-born, raised, and based Actor! I'm SUPER proud of my NYC roots and attribute my independence and leadership strengths to the city that raised me. After playing a featured (yet unforgettable) role of “Stepmother” in my All-Girls Catholic school production of Hannah and Gretel at 7… I was bitten HARD by the "Theater Bug" and post-having a particularly magical experience seeing Wicked on Broadway with my Girl Scout Troop, my love and goals to pursue a career in the Performing Arts were locked in!

With the support of incredible theater educators and mentors, my passions led me to Syracuse University where I graduated May 2024, Cum Laude, with a BFA in Acting. Because of the important theater educators in my life who believed in me, my studies at Syracuse allowed me to pursue a Minor in Educational Studies which allowed me to dive into my passion for making the performing arts a supportive, accessible, confidence-building aspect of everyone’s education! I had the opportunity to be a part of Syracuse Stage’s Children’s Tour and saw firsthand the positive impact that TYA (Theater for Young Audiences) has on kids and low-income communities. I also had the opportunity to study at Shakespeare’s Globe during my time at Syracuse, which was deeply formative in my artistic growth and made me fall in love with Shakespeare and Classical texts. I also have a passion for making the very human storylines in Shakespeare’s canon contemporary, accessible, and relatable to modern audiences, and breaking down the stigmas of Classical Theater as a whole.

Other fun facts about me: I’m the oldest of three #kendallroycoded, I have a Scorpio Sun/Leo Moon/Gemini Rising, my most played artist on Spotify Wrapped ‘23 was Steve Lacy, I can do a killer rooster crow, and my favorite movie is Greta Gerwig’s Little Women. I’m a huge foodie, I love to travel, and during my free time you can most likely find me: reading a book in Central Park, trying out a new coffee shop, wandering around a museum, watching old productions at Lincoln Center Archives, or grabbing a drink and yapping with my nearest and dearest!
